A male Bamana sculpture of the Kala region, standing on an oval base, flattened, rectangular feet, shortened legs, buttocks and increased torso with a scarification-pattern in cubistic shape, the rounded shoulders hanging, the arms ending with stylized hands straightened forwards (the typical character of the Kala sculptures), the columar neck supporting an ovoid head with a flat fascial plane, an elongated nose framed by circular eyes inserted by metal-sheets, an abstract caplike coiffure or hat decorated with circular patterns; fine, shiny patina, significant traces of us, according of the structure of the heavy, hard wood (visible at the botton of the plinth) this figure is high aged, allthough the stylistic shape loks very modern.
